# Centralized Detworks Downsides:

*i.* Privacy Challenges: The fact that the fundamentals of centralized platforms are less complicated, and it stores private information on a single server where it could be compromised poses a cybersecurity threat such as DDOS attacks to the user’s privacy.

*ii.* Single Point of Failure (SPOF): As the name suggests, this is any non-redundant element of the process that when a system on a particular infrastructure fails, it will cause the entire operation to stop running.

\
*iii.* Scalability Limitation: Because the server's data center capacity is limited, it becomes difficult to scale centralized networks beyond a certain point. The only but long-term inefficient way to tackle this is to add more storage, I/O bandwidth, or processing power to the server.
